HOME OF GEOTECHNICAL RESEARCH TEAM

Lorella Montrasio is a Full Professor in Geotechnical Engeneering at the University of Brescia. 

Her research group was founded in the early 2000s.

Since then, the team is constantly evolving and growing, trying to bring innovation in the field of Geotechnics and Soil Mechanics.

The three main activities of the group are research, teaching, and third mission.

Among the main research topics, the most recent include landslide prevention (soil slips), slope reinforcement with plants, and soil polyurethane injections focused in improvement of seismic properties.

More than 150 papers have been published over the years by the group.

Teaching activities vary from basic to more specific and targeted courses, previously held at the University of Parma (from 1997 to 2022) and now at the University of Brescia (from 2022).

Third mission activities are variegated and cover different issues.
